Kathy Hogan moved to Edmonton after graduating from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Music degree where she studied with Rivka Golani.

She has been a busy freelance musician over the years playing with the London Symphony (Ontario) ,Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony, Atlantic Symphony, Thunder Bay Symphony, Edmonton Symphony, Royal Winnipeg Ballet Touring Orchestra, various musical productions at the Citadel Theater as well as many small chamber groups used in productions around Edmonton.

Kathy has also been a teacher of violin and viola with a busy studio. When not playing she tries to spend as much time as possible with her husband, ESO bassist John Taylor and their four children.
