REBECCA CLABORN
Mezzo-Soprano
American mezzo-soprano Rebecca Claborn received her Bachelor of Arts in vocal performance and Bachelor of Music in Music Education from the University of New Hampshire in 2007. During her time there she appeared as a soloist with the University of New Hampshire Concert Choir and the University of New Hampshire Chamber Singers in such works as Beethoven’s Mass in C, Händel’s Dixit Dominus, and Bach’s Mass in B Minor. She was also a founding member of the early music ensemble Quinto.
Rebecca is currently pursuing further studies at the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada, as a Master’s student in Vocal Performance. She recently won the 2008 Alberta Baroque Ensemble Concerto and Scholarship Competition. In the summer of 2008, Rebecca was accepted into the Tafelmusik Baroque Summer Institute in Toronto, as well as the 2008 Master Course for the intensive study of German lied at the Franz-Schubert-Institut in Baden bei Wien, Austria.
